Santa Barbara County

Background

Santa Barbara County has the unprecedented opportunity to adopt a local Community Choice Energy (CCE) program. The county was previously involved in Central Coast Power, a consortium of local governments that formed to explore the feasibility of a Community Choice Energy (CCE) program that could serve San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties. After a feasibility study and extensive evaluation, each county has chosen to pursue their own paths to CCE. CCE gives communities like yours the opportunity to reduce your carbon footprint, create green energy jobs, and keep revenues local.
